Is that an oxymoron?
Anyhoo.... Had a lovely weekend. Weather was perfect. Was feeling a little bit cold-ish, snuffly and a bit achy. It was kind of nice just sitting out in the sunshine, listening to my audiobook (Last Train to Memphis by Elizabeth Peters) and knitting away. I got a couple of projects completed. Namely the blanket for P & K out in Joshua Tree. It's just made up of odd balls of yarn knitted back and forth in garter stitch on a big circular needle. Doesn't matter what colours you use or textures, they always seem to come together.
I also did a really cute hat for my man. He loves reggae and so the rasta red, gold & green yarn was awesome. This came from a great pattern I found while browsing, using Crystal Palace Panda Cotton. Fabulous yarn. Has a little stretch to it, too.
I was also able to finish the tiling part of a mosaic project I started last summer! Just one of those things that I never found the time for. I can now do the grout for it next weekend (although I think it's supposed to rain). I was going to do a bright blue grout - I think it'll look great with the green tile.
