....since my last post! Wow, I had forgotten all about my little blog page! So much knitting, so much yarn! So many things. Well, where do we start? A lot has changed in 3 years. I am still with my fabulous BW - thank goodness that hasn't changed. We've moved to a new apartment as we managed to upset the entire neighbourhood with our social gatherings! The place we moved into is a LOT smaller, but the big selling point is that it is on the ocean side of PCH. We are now in the same building as Raj. Steps down to the beach and no neighbours to upset. What more could we ask for?! Also, I'm no longer at the same job, which is probably why I didn't keep this blog up - no continuous computer access. Since leaving, I have had several different jobs here and there. Lots of stuff has been going on. Needless to say, it's been a hard, sad, crazy, fun, heartbreaking, beautiful and energizing 3 years!!! Since the blog is generally about knitting, I must say that my beanies have been extremely popular over the past few winters. I've sold many and given many away! I made some beautiful, sexy stockings for my pal Jillie's bridal shower. Socks overtook me for a while there and I think everyone got them for Christmas for a couple,of years in a row! My current projects are a snood/cowl for Shanay, some socks (toe-up - so it's still an experiment), a funky origami sweater using some super soft bamboo yarn, need some buttons to finish off a Noro sleeveless jacket, and, fo course, hats, hats, hats. I'm working on some more funky style designs now rather the same old beanie pattern (although I do still love that one). I think that's all I've got for today. Will post some pictures when I get a chance.
Cheers, and so nice to see you again!

Good Morning!
We've made it to Wednesday - how was your April Fool's Day? Mine was quiet. It went by without any tricks or major events. After work went on a lovely 2 hour hike. Perfect way to wind down from a busy day. Grabbed a bunch of Lion Brand Homespun that's been sitting in my stash and started on a quick, simple shrug. I'm nearly finished so should be able to post a photo tomorrow. I've decided that I'm going to sell a majority of the clothes I have hanging in my closet - I never wear half of them anyway and it's just a waste of space. I've sold a bunch on EBay already and it feels so much better to "lighten the load".
Have a fab day and I promise I'll have some good knitting coming up soon!!

A month goes by so fast...
Can you believe it's been that long, almost, that I last wrote down a few words. Time obviously flies way to fast when you're having fun. I have no reasonable excuses for my absence - busy, I guess, is all I have to say. I wish I could make up an incredible adventure, or a life-threatening sickness, maybe I broke all of my fingers, or had amnesia and didn't know who I was. But, alas, nothing as exciting as that!

As for knitting, I could say that things have been pretty stagnant there, too. I did finish my fabulous yoga bag. I used a lovely hemp/wool mix yarn that
came out great. I will attach a pic.
I also really quickly knitted a cute grey tank top with some Lion Brand Homespun that I had hanging around. I'm trying to use more natural fibers, but Homespun is just so easy and versatile.
My honey-pie was away for 2 weeks, which I thought would be fantastic - I can catch up with all of my half finished knitting projects, watch some good chick flicks, chill out...But, no, instead my "social calendar" filled up and I was out almost every bloomin' night!
It has been fun, though. I must say, I do have some fabulous friends and I do live in THE most incredible town.
I will seriously get on with my knitting this week. I want to start working through my yarn stash this year. No new yarn for a while :(

Leap year eve...
Are us girls supposed to propose marriage to our men on a leap year? Mmmm, think I might skip that one. I LOVE my man with all my being, but we're good the way we are - I'm not going to rock the boat.
Finally grout
ed my mosaic pot. Couldn't get the blue very bright & also it didn't mix very well so there are a few white spots - but it makes for a cute effect! (That's my story & I'm sticking to it)
I love making these cute pots, it makes the garden look so lovely. Bought a lovely pure white geranium that will look great in this new pot.
I know I should be talking knitting, but I've got nothing new to say. Too many projects and no motivation!

Socks!
My honey-pie is feeling neglected and wants some socks. I knitted a bunch last year for Christmas pressies, but I ran out of time and he didn't get a pair - so I must make him some this week.
Should I go fancy? Or should I go simple? I'll see what yarn I have at home to play with and then decide.
Beautiful day today - is it finally going to warm up?
After work & the gym (phew - I'm working on it...), sat down to watch the movie "Gone Baby Gone". Ben Affleck's directorial debut. Pretty sad and dark. Did he make the right decision? I don't know. :( Makes you realize how damned lucky y
ou are to have a simple life!
The sunrise this morning was breathtaking. I took this one picture a little bit after the fact, but it still came out pretty good.

Post Oscar blues...:(

What did you think of the Oscar's last night? I quite enjoyed it - I love to see all of the glam. Lots of red dresses this year. My favorite dress? Mmmm, Jennifer Garner looked gorgeous, and I loved Anne Hathaway's red dress as well as Katherine Heigl's. Marion Cotillard's Jean Paul Gaultier dress was superb, and her acceptance speech was so touching. I get SO wrapped up in all of the drama!
I knitted like crazy all day yesterday. We woke to rain pouring down - perfect for a day of knitting and chilling in front of the TV. I'm midway into making a yoga bag from some great hemp yarn and then I also started a tank top (I'm sure that the sun will be out one day) with some Lion Brand Homespun that I had lying around.
I will continue in a bit....

Good morning
Woke up to the rain pouring down - again. I'm a bit down in the dumps today - can't seem to shake it. Must be the gloomy weather.
Watched No Reservations, starring Catherine Zeta Jones, last night. Cute romantic comedy. My man simply adores her, so he enjoyed himself! I finished the Noro beanie I had sitting there unfinished forever. Glad to have that done. I'm trying to finish up all of these unfinished projects. All I have left now (not including any single & half done socks!) is my black alpaca cardigan. I've almost finished the back. The yarn is SO fine and soft - it really will be gorgeous when it's completed.
